Tuning:
An 8 string lapsteel can be tuned in many different ways, depending on playing style and genre. The traditional most used 6-string lapsteel tuning is C6 ("Hawaiian tuning"), from low to high CEGACE. In order to adapt this tuning to an 8-string lapsteel one could add a low A and high G string, which would result in ACEGACEG.
